| SSi Incorporated won first place in the Associated Builders and Contractors 2002 Excellence in Construction competition with this Minh Foods, the world's largest egg roll manufacturing plant, entry in the Industrial Construction-Over 5 Million category. Minh Foods is a 70,000 square foot addition to an existing egg roll manufacturing plant owned by SSE Manufacturing, a division of Schwan's Fine Foods, and located in Deer Park, Texas, just outside Houston. This massive structure is built of galvanized structural steel, insulated metal wall and ceiling panels, glazed block, and pre-cast concrete. This was a DESIGN/BUILD project that was planned and constructed to meet stringent USDA requirements. The floors, ceilings, and walls can be washed with high pressure, hot water hoses powered by the Kemco washer installed beside the electrical room and the mechanical room. The lights are flush with the ceiling eliminating the need for time consuming and costly cleaning of individual lighting fixtures. |
